The Mandranova farm is located in the municipality of Palma di Montechiaro in land of Sicily that is rich of history of millennia past. The farm is specialized in olive growing and production of olive oil. Mandranova spans 180 hectares, 40 of them dedicated to olive grove.
The olive varieties are the typical Sicilian ones: Nocellara, Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Giarraffa.
Harvesting starts from the last week of September to the end of October.
Once picked, the olives are immediately bring to the farm’s oil mill that has a three-phase continuous-cycle facility.
The oils produced are single variety of Nocellara (green label), Biancolilla (orange label) Cerasuola (claret label) and Giarraffa (brown label).
Visitors have the chance to assist at the harvesting and the production of olive oil. Advance booking is requested.
The Mandranova farm welcomes visitors in the ancient family country-house, the former railway station and in the ancient palm grove “La Robazza”.
The renovation of the buildings has been realized respecting the original structures and using local materials.

Organoleptic profile
It has a beautiful yellow-green colour. Its scent revels a green fruity of leaf enriched by special vegetable notes of tomato and oregano. Its taste is grassy with firmly bitterness and spiciness.

 
Recommended gastronomic uses
Ideal uncooked on marinate of tuna, mackerel, anchovy and sardines. It enhances the flavour of grilled vegetables, soups of legumes, shellfish main courses, roasted meats and cheese.
