Pharmacists for generations, Titone have always had a special care for the health and a passion for agriculture and olive plants. Since 1936, in the territorial area between Trapani and Marsala , the Titone family produces a high quality olive oil, good and natural. Here, the cultivation of olives has very ancient, today acknowledged by the the PDO Valli Trapanesi, in whose area falls full the Titone olive trees. The company was one of the first to convert to organic farming in Sicily , from 1992 all the phases of production are controlled and certified by CCPB under EC Regulation 834/2007. The company is in compliance with the CCPB Global Programme , with the Standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004. Today we are running the company Antonella Titone , with 19 hectares of olive groves and 6,000 plants that produce about 10,000 liter of oil , in 6000 liters DOP Valli Trapanesi Organic. The olives of each cultivar Cerasuola, Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla are harvested by hand from the first week of October and are pressed after a few hours the company mill. The oils mono varietal products are stocked under nitrogen in steel silos and only after chemical analysis and tasting are blended to originate Titone PDO Valli Trapanesi Oil and Organic Titone Oil.
