Originating from Società Agricola Calabrese, run since 1951 by Prof. Giuseppe De Lorenzo, the De Lorenzo & C. Farm was born in 1974; its olive groves span over 90 hectares of the Lamezia Terme Plain, which are part of the Protected Denomination of Origin area of Lametia. The harvest begins in October using mechanical means or by stripping and olives are immediately crushed in the farms own mill, so as to retain the unique original properties of the fruit. The extra virgin olive oil thus obtained is strictly cold extracted for low acidity. The farm is easy to reach: located just 2 km from the exit of motorway A3 SA-RC, from the train station and the Lamezia Terme International Airport. The farm welcomes visitors and offers the opportunity to stay overnight, to enjoy the charming sights of its own church and of an old roman style aqueduct, giving tourists the opportunity of spending days relaxing in absolute tranquillity, enjoying the most delicious platters of Calabria’s traditional cuisine.
