Zimarino has its origins in 1700, with the founder Zimarino Donato, who bought a large landownership exactly along the coastal strip which lies between the promontory of Punta Aderci (26 m) and the river Sinello. This area was named Contrada Zimarino. But only later with the advent of surveyor Don Vincenzo,the estate became even farm and assumed the name of Zimarino Masseria Don Vincenzo.

Guardian Angel of this little corner of paradise, with rare biotypes of Mediterranean flora and smell of the sea, is Liliana Zimarino, the last direct descendant, who with the help of her husband Nicholas TIERI, has made every effort and enthusiasm continuing the family business, expanding olive oil crops, and recovering the variety of tree species and plant species originating (Gentile di Chieti, Ascolana Tenera and Nebbio di Chieti) in the company, and in the case of olive cultivation this has led to the search of quality oils through the link with the territory for a variety of flavors and essential oils monovarietals to the variability of their taste from year to year. In this way we have achieved production of high quality in terms of:

1) Typicality - Oil from the characteristics typical of Abruzzo

2) Authenticity (no foreign substance of any kind)

3) High nutritional and health value (presence of important constituents of high biological value and physiological to the human body such as polyphenols, natural antioxidants), lower alkyl esters and total absence of harmful substances, such as eg pesticides

The true quality of an oil is measured mainly in its long-term stability, not only in the immediate outcomes or pleasure in tasting in just the first months of production. Our goal, very hard, you get products that seek to be excellent in several aspects: nutritional, healthful, sensory and hedonistic.
