The farm is situated on land which has belonged to the family since 1848. The current proprietress, utilizing family tradition, has thoroughly innovated the cultivation systems and harvesting techniques in order to obtain high quality organic extra virgin olive oil from native plants of the Piana di Gioia Tauro such as the Sinopolese and Ottobratica cultivars. With the introduction of new technological methods for harvesting olives and producing oil, the farm produces oil which retains the unaltered organoleptic characteristics of an authentically wholesome product. The farm comprises 5 hectares of olive groves in the center of which the farm management is based. It is located at the city hall limits of Cittanova and Taurianova, 150 meters above sea level, on gently declining ground in the 19th century “Malizia della Pietra” county. The farm is easily reachable with principal means of transportation, as it is situated in the old town center of Cittanova, a small town in the heart of the Piana di Gioia Tauro at the foot of the Aspromonte. The presence on the property of an ancient 19th century church owned by the family bears witness to the family’s deep roots in the land. The church is dedicated to the worship of the Madonna of Graces and to this day the faithful flock here for prayer and religious festivities.
