At the slopes of Monte Pisano, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, the microclimate is perfect to cultivate olive tree . Here grow the olives of the farm "il frantoio di Vicopisano" and the olives of other local organic growers that bring them at the oil mill "Antico Frantoio Toscano del Rio Grifone" to be crushed within the same day. The extra virgin olive oil "Rio Grifone BIO" is the result of an accurate working process and only the best olives of the local organic producers are used to produce this great olive oil. The olives are picked by hand when they have reached the perfect ripeness and they are pressed after a few hours from the harvest. The oil is then filtered and analized in order to verify the quality parameters: acidity, peroxides and polyphenols. After the storage in stainless steel containers, to protect the oil from air and light, at a controlled temperature, the oil is bottled into bottles or cans.

Organoleptic profile

The Organic Rio Grifone MONTI PISANI extra virgin olive oil has a smell of fresh grass and barely ripe olive. It has an almond and artichoke smell with a balanced and harmonic flavour of medium intensity. It has a green gold colour. At the palate it is fruity and elegant.

Recommended gastronomic uses

Recommended uncooked; delicious on bruschetta and with main course dishes, salads and cooked vegetables, soups and grilled fish and meat. Excellent for fish and vegetable fry and suited for vegetables and tuna in olive oil.
