La Cerqua Podere Alcade
Fuori C’Entro was founded in 1996 and operates in the province of Viterbo and the Civitavecchia district. Its registered office is in the old town center of Tarquinia and the farm is located in the countryside of the city hall of Monte Romano. In 2002 it became the “Podere Alcade-La Cerqua” Farm Association. The farm possesses a 700 m2 mechanized glasshouse; an olive grove with centuries-old trees; an apiary with bee-watching area and laboratory for producing royal jelly, honey and by-products; a vegetable garden and horses. The farm is ICEA certified for the production of organic herbs and vegetables. It practices social agriculture through the employment of those belonging to socially vulnerable groups, specifically with social reintegration of and assistance to persons with disabilities, addicts and ex-convicts. The farm sells products from its social agriculture program directly. It organizes tastings, recreational activities for children and personalized courses and laboratories for herb, vegetable and beehive product cultivation.
