Principe di Mascio
The Mascio farm is located in Trevi, a small municipality of the Umbria Region famous for its history and the pristine beauty of its countryside. Here, the scenery draws a line between man and nature, since farming has been shaping the hills since Roman times, when thousands of olive trees were planted on terraces. Amidst this fascinating scenery stands the Mascio farm, which uses the fruits from its olive groves to produce PDO olive oil, respecting the environment and traditions while also innovating its farming, growing, milling and oil storage techniques. Seven thousand trees of the Moraiolo (approximately 80%), Leccino and Frantoio (approximately 20%) varieties grow on 19 hectares of land. The olive groves are exposed mainly to the South-West, at an altitude ranging between 350 and 550 metres above sea level, on a gentle slope with calcareous soil, which prevents water from stagnating and endows the product with unique organoleptic properties.
